in an imaginary war
with no casualties
testing limits
hitting walls
and digging under them
broken cities
broken countries
broken leaders
in a frigid fight

power hungry
starving
craving
needing
more
double dog daring
amongst aged men
a return to childhood
forget responsibility
the lives in their hands
mean nothing
if they can go farther
maybe one has morals
sets him apart
but which is it?
evil versus man
leading men to helpless battles
in endangered countries
who don't realize
they are endangered
until blood is shed
and they really are
man versus animal
who will stop it?
who's the real man?
or have we lost them
replaced with
entertainers
fighting for the tip
playing with lions
leaving the audience
to be bit
and do nothing
