Blog Purgatory

Rate this Entry
Last night I sat here at the desk and pounded away and tried to keep the mistypes to a minimum as I post first then proof read the text.

The topic pertained to how a lady falling in a bathroom led to a ten hour work shift spent with my very favorite dispatcher Sam. Brandy is #2.

It was full of disclosure on how AAA miscommunicates with each other and the hunt for a replacement dispatcher to keep me company.

I had not just one but TWO Logos references to my forbidden passion for my favorite moderator. One was actually funny. The other was the usual lame excuse for teasing a classy lady and hopefully provoking a smile for her day.

You would think after all this time I had it down pat how to create an entry.

I certainly thought so.

Nope--lost it when I was sure I had copied it prior to getting exited out. Cookies indeed. Still don't know what that advice was all about. We do own a copy of Computers for Dummies but oddly enough it goes unread though I glare at it once in awhile.

Constant readers know what the next word is but we'll type it anyway.

Sigh.

Only recently realized I was stealing that from Charlie Brown of Peanuts fame. Especially since the reprint volumes are sitting in my library on a shelf with the latest to rescue from the Bookery soon. (1967-1968--volume 9). I believe there will be 20 volumes all told but off the top of my head can't recall when Charles Schutz passed away (2000??)

So another lost chunk of my life that upon reflection was just as well. I took off two hours early tonight to get it back since I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday with seven days in a row coming up.

So blogs are more trouble then they are worth. Until I see comments trickling in and then the world seems kinder to an aging grizzley.

don't be discouraged, mtspur! I find reading your blog pleasurable no matter what you post about. Computers still get the best of me sometimes, too. It happens to everyone, but I think it is worth it.

I have been a victim of such circumstances, too, Rich. I really HATE it when that happens -- you write a decent blog entry, and then the whole thing is dissolved into cyberdust because of the gliches in today's technology. Darn and drat. But anyhow, we could always learn and post our thoughts in Notepad (at the very least), and then SAVE, and then use a COPY/PASTE routine to safely get it to LitNet, where it belonged in the first place! Or is that too much trouble? I have to ask myself that!
