Beautiful Memory

Rate this Entry
A short lean ten year old boy steps over a log covered with sweet, green moss. He steps on a slippery stones and warns the girl with him to watch her step as he takes her hand. It is a hot 4th of July and their church had gone out on a picnic by a shallow stream. The two chat happily as they trudge through the dence little gathering of trees. Another girl about sixish followes them but they tell her not to follow them, they just want to be alone. The little girl doesn't know why she wants to be just with him, she just knows she wants to. The sun beams down on the trees above them and fills the air with the small of oaks, pines, and damp soil. Water bugs dart across the water making the smallest ripples. A rustle in the bushes reveal itself to be a lizard. The two kids try to catch it but miss, so they continue with there adventure. They little girl stumbles and asks for the boys help, he turns around and takes her by the hand leading her over the wet stones. They walk under a bridge and the tones of people voices drifts to their ears. They know that no one knows were they are. And they are full with pleasure with this adventure...

This memory haunts me terribly. I was that little girl... And that little boy was my first crush. I liked him for four years. Even after he moved away. But time has changed my feelings from a crush into just a foundness of our innocence. I miss him and his brothers. And my one of my biggest wish is to do that one more time! just one more time with him! *sighs* my heart aches with happiness and desire.

and you were the six year old or the other? I feel really stupid for asking!
Are you in contact with him?

It sounds like a moment to cherish, Shurtugal. The picture nicely compliments it too. You will have to make more moments like that in your future. B

That boy has the same recollection, Shurtzie, so ya never know what Fate has in store. Nonetheless, beautiful writing with a beautiful picture. This blog entry left me feeling warm and fuzzy, thanks! Kizzo
