Summer Goals

Rate this Entry
I will definitely be adding more as they come up...

1) Have a typed notebook of all of grandma's recipes in layman's terms (no pinch of... dash of... where it feels just right...)
2) Read "The Universe in a Nutshell"
3) Read "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
4) Play Kingdom Hearts (I and II)
5) Achieve over 60 community service hours
6) Read the "Illiad", straight (no spark notes, this time!!)
7) Finally watch the third Pirates of the Cabbibean movie
8) Go on an adventure with Mark, a friend of mine who is an amatuer archaeologist, hiker, kayaker, guitarist, violinist, banjo-ist, mandolinist, singer, and is graduating this year.
9) Acquire a taste for Lupe Fiasco
10) Learn to change a flat tire

Anyone have any suggestions? Most of these are actually suggestions from my friends, so throw me a bone!

DO one thing every week youve never done before?
Think of six impossible things before breakfast?

Will you be sharing any of your grandmas recipies? *hint hint*

What no latin? Don't forget to do something athletic too. Everyone needs exercise. And do something that's fun. Study a little and have fun too. It is the summer.

Nightshade, did you honestly think I'd neglect the lady litnetters (okay and the male litnetters) who love to cook?
I most certainly will once I iron out the kinks. She gives me the "pinch of this" version and I ask her to roughly define a "pinch" in context. Then she gives me an estimate, which has turned out a little off. The 2 tbsps of shortening in the biscuts I made tonight was totally three, and the milk was 2/3 cups versus her claimed 1/2 cup... So I'll have to make them all first. I will post the biscut recipe later this week though, as I resolved it tonight. ^^
Virgil, I have Nationals study sessions... No Latin goals (besides reading the Iliad) will be neglected, whether I like it or not, and therefore there is no point in making them. Mr. B expects the world from me...

maybe the shortening and milk were right and you had the flour wrong sounds like a wonderful summer!

Wow, I really admire a person who makes a goal list. Awesome, Anza! I guess the only thing I'd add to it would be something athletic, as Virgil has mentioned. Maybe rollerblading? Mountain bike riding? Hiking is good, though! But no matter what, have fun, my friend. Kizzo

The adventure with Mark will probably be a whole weekend of kayaking and camping, or hiking and camping, or biking over rough terrain and camping... I classify that as athletic... but I am doing athletic events at nationals!
