fantastic weekend in the works

How wonderful!

My garden is out! Chaney and I worked so hard last night and planted EVERYTHING we had left. We put out so much that I didn’t even count. She did nine 25 ft. rows herself. My husband is stopping by his uncle’s house to get more Chaney Bean seed for the 50’ fence line which is all I have left. Now I just have to wait for plants to bloom which is a lot like watching butter melt or paint dry. I decided to leave the space between my rows wide enough to get the push mower in there. I’ll let you know how it works. Bailey took care of supper last night and did a fine job!

Tonight is family fun night. I’m very excited. We are going to have summer sausage and cheese, fruit and vegetables, and crackers and sweet bread. But tonight we go to bed early! I have big plans for tomorrow. We are going to go on a driving tour of the Ozarks in the morning. We’ll go over the ferry and around into Missouri and back by the house. After lunch we are going to Lost Valley to hike the trail- in part- and picnic for dinner. I think I’ll make fruit, veggies, sandwiches (PBandSyrup) or maybe left over supper from tonight. I’m very excited. I haven’t told the girls what the plan is yet.

I’m getting all of the chores done today so we can have the rest of the weekend off for fun and adventures. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Spring has sprung and there is every reason to get out and enjoy life.

Nine 25 foot rows? That's not a garden, that's a farm. I don't even know if I'll get to garden this year. My wife said she was going to get some flowers at least. Oh my mother has started some seeds and I guess their sprouting. She'll give me some. But we have plans again this weekend and who knows if I'll ever get to doing gardening stuff. I need to take a week's vacation.

Sounds like a great time ma. I hiked lost valley one time in the late 90's it was a wet weekend, but we still had a campfire and a wonderful time.

Sounds awesome All our plants are in pots around here, apart from the front garden, so I can't wait for the day where I actually get to PLANT things Our spring over here doesn't start until September, so it's a few months away but I can't wait until it's here (my birthday is in the middle of spring so I like it even more )

Hey, that sounds like so much fun! And I hear what you are saying about the gardening -- I am tickled pink about patio flowers (which don't hold a candle to nine 25-foot rows, but anyhow ...) -- yeah, spring has sprung, and there's music in the air! Yay Also -- tell Granny hi from me. Haven't seen her lately. K♥z
