Okay, so, this really cool, great, awsome guy I like (and we are good friends) is having a birthday tomorrow. I have two problems:
1. I don't know what to get him.
I have two days to get him something under $52 that he'll like. He's kinda sporty and a complete wuss. Any suggestions?
2. He's going to be too old for me!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh... *sniff* *sniff* what to do?

Wow, we never bought friends presents when I was your age. Who had $52 dollars? Kids are rich these days.

If he's into sports, how about if you buy him something of his favorite team or do you know what kind of music he likes?

OK, I just want everyone to know that that 21 bucks in not from me- that would be crazy IMO! She watches the babies during a parenting class and that is a stipend for it. Now Bailey, it would be insanity to spend any significant amount of money on this boy. Don't get me wrong, I really like him. You are too young (and so is he) and expensive gifts would really lessen the value of the relationship. How about make a cool kootie catcher or just a happy birthday card and maybe make a cake we could take on Wednesday. I like that idea and it would be more comfortable for everyone involved. I admit the kootie catcher is a little dorky, but I would like it!

That's one of the things I dread about birthday parties - the presents. I gave my friend a kilo of chocolate for her 16th birthday not that long ago... And a cute stuffed purple monkey... And also something else on top of all that! And I managed that not knowing what she likes... So good luck and I hope you find something!!

Ah, Bailey works. Good for you Bailey. I started delivering newspapers when i was 13. And I did it all the way through to almost the end of college. I had built up one hell of a good paper route. Plus in college I worked another part time job.
