I'm rather down at the moment, though it was to be expected really, but I'm beginning to wonder why I bother with the JCS. I was the only one to show up again, and it's a Tuesday. Could the last meeting I missed have been the last? If that were the case it'd be nice if Ripton let us know. I wonder if anyone was there last week to have noticed my absence. I never miss a meeting, even if I'm the only one to show up, there's only been 3-4 exceptions where I've been working or ill (and by ill I mean exhausted from working all night on something ) or the one time that I completely forgot it there was a meeting and then thought it's too late to go now. But, seeing as Ripton recently acknowledged that I turn up to almost every meeting surely someone would've tried to contact me on that day to ask where I was, Ripton doesn't have my number but Sara and Anna do, Sara hardly turn up any more but Anna usually does when the others do, though she's always late. One of four things happened that day, either; they just couldn't be bothered with me as I'm practically furniture anyway; No one showed up; They understood that for me to not show up meant I was very busy and shouldn't be disturbed or people were there but Anna and Sara weren't among them. On Thursday I hoped, in vain, that they'd be there and ask, where were you on Tuesday, just so I know I was missed, nope, just me. Today I was hoping for the same thing, I've compiled a list of all the anime I've watched over the past year roughly in order and I was hoping to show it off a little (childish I know) and I wanted to introduce them to Li, my new dragon, mum bought him for me when she went out on Saturday. I named him after the main character from Darker Than BLACK (the most recent anime on my list, just finished it today) his human alias anyway, I chose that name because his eyes made me think of this little dragon (he's a silver Asian dragon mounted on a ring of some blue stone, I can't remember what it's called now) and I hoped I'd have the chance to answer the question "Why's he called that?" and I could say "it just seems to fit him", but alas no one to show Li off to. I'm considering that he may be unlucky. He's supposed to be a lucky dragon but I've found that some "lucky" things seem to interfere with my ring (the necklace that I never take off, it's lucky for me, I wore it for my exams, but I didn't wear it for the exams I failed) so, anything that interferes with the ring is not worn. I'm just wondering now that if Li proves to be unlucky will I stop wearing him? I'm not sure, because I really like him.
Then it'll be either luck (which I sometimes believe and sometimes I don't, but the fact I always wear my ring seems proof that I feel that to be lucky) or Li.
My ring is like a part of me, I'll never go outside without it, the only time I take it off is when I have a bath, I even sleep in it (which explains why the mood ring I put on it is on it's last legs. I'm thinking of changing it this weekend, I have a spare, but this is the first and only mood ring I put on it and I worry that changing it will interfere with my luck). I can't always be lucky, as I believe for good to happen bad must happen, but I feel luckier and happier with my ring, and surely if i feel that it's lucky then it doesn't matter whether it is or not.
Anyway, I guess you're wondering why this is called "The Puppet Master". Well, on the way back from the JCS room I realised something, now, no one seems to turn up unless Ripton does and I think I know why, it's because he'll call people and say "You coming to the JCS tonight?", how do I know this? Because I'm always there before him. I'm the only one who seems to go when Ripton's not there. and thus I thought of Ripton as controlling the JCS members, like puppets, and hey "The Puppet Master", well, it's either that or "The Lord And Master" which was his original name, but I think that if he knew about that nickname I gave him it'd inflate his ego, at least Puppet Master has some ground and I believe that a character in one of the Ghost in the Shell movies was also called that (so an anime reference too) fits nicely.
I'm hoping, I know it'll be in vain, that "The Puppet Master" will turn up on Thursday. I'll hope and we can see if the dragon really is the luckiest symbol, as my mum's friend told her.
I'd hate to not be able to wear Li, he's nice, and he's silver and blue, my favourite jewellery is silver (I also like white gold but none of my necklaces are white gold) I don't like ordinary gold so much, It's nice but it just...I don't know, silver just seems to e such a nicer colour, it seems purer, nicer, shinier, I like silver, so I like Li a lot.
Anyway, I'll let you get back to your lives now.
