14th april is our new year eve, from 1414 to 1415.The starting day of the summer; the first of six seasons.The day has been celebrated throughout the the country with great enthusiasm.The colours of summer are red and white.Men and women in red-white dresses throng the city like a sea of peoples.It is the only non communal festival of our country.

The programme starts at down with the sun rise.Music,dance,drama,recitation,rally,fair and the traditional cuisines are the main attractions.This festival is getting popular day by day.Its nice to see peoples are getting concerned about their tradition as if a new enlightenment to going back to our roots.
The boutiques, the sweet-meat shops, the flower vendors were immensely crowded before the day.The main centre is the university area.The students of fine arts made a huge procession with replicas like tiger,mask.owl,dolls etc with musical instruments.
I didn't go out(i might be the only person) for i don't like crowd for i always have a feeling as if i m getting lost.I watched t.v-the live telecast of the programme and dramas.1414 was good to me.In 1415 i would end my uni life.Then i will be desperately seeking for a decent job.
Things are getting difficult day by day.tomorrow a presentation on different aspects of feminism in moder era (its my luck,i m presenting the topic 3rd time in different courses)also an exam on Hamlet,have to finish some novels and critics.This year the books are really fascinating;i cant even feel at ease for 2 days after finishing a book.This year i've taken a vow-not to think much and my new year's resolution is to follow advice of others.
