Halls of the Dark Muse

I just fell in love with this scentence. I do not know why, but it is just the sort of thing that I would fall in love with. It just strikes me as so completely witty and genious, and of course has that suggestion of gothica of which I am ever so found. But when I first read this, I was just completely taken in.

I hated my second funeral, which was the only one I managed to attend.

I read this on one of those "What are you reading now" threads, though not the one on this forum, but on another forum. Unfortuantely the book itself from which this brilliant line came from, does not strike me of the sort I would really read.
