Well. I’m sitting in the common room. I’m not even sitting in PE because there’s no one there, apparently there’s some primary school kids come for some sporting thing. I should be doing my IT work. It really needs doing. But I just don’t feel like it. I could read more of prince Caspian (The library’s open today, wasn’t the passed two days) but then I’d feel guilty about not doing any work even though I’m not doing it now. I’m starting to have increasing concerns for my heart. I keep feeling it doing something or other, It’s not exactly a pain. But I’m just suddenly made aware of it and it worries me. But my blood pressure’s fine. I’ve got another chest infection, I’m sure of it. Actually, I may be the same one as before, I’m not completely sure it went away. But as I think I mentioned before, I’m back on my chewy vitamins. Also I think something’s up with my eyelashes, though I may be wrong. They just seem a bit thicker that they used to be, like there’s more of them and I keep getting eyelashes in my eyes (or they could be the same ones but they just won’t come out). Oh well, I’ll see how I go. I think I may take up a spot of meditation again to see if it helps my heart. I read in a book that in some cases meditation is shown to reduce the fatty tissues around the heart, or something like that.
It’s my dad’s birthday today too. We’ve got him a PC game and a card (he’s very hard to buy for). Mum’s also bought him a … wait for it…
Spongebob Squarepants cake
Last year she got him one with the Crazy Frog.
I’m planning to pop into a card shop along the Highroad and get some candles that spell out his age. He’ll hate it. He hates being reminded of his age and plays around with the numbers to make himself sound younger, like he’s not 42 he’d 24 or if the last number is higher than the first, he’s not 57, he’s 12.
The weather got even freakier yesterday. On the highroad, just before the little bridge it was rain, with a bit of snow. On the other side of the bridge it was completely snow. But it subsided by the time I had to get off of the bus.
This is not what I personally call spring, even for England.
Now, what else? Ah yes.
I made the cutest little animation last night. I’ve always wanted to make an animation like Wallace and Gromit or Morph (That cute little red thing and his friend Chaz, he used to pop into art programs and spoke with silly sounds and not speech). I’d recently seen a poor attempt at animation made from blue tack (I’m not sure if that’s the correct spelling or not) and I thought, I could try that. Well, last night I did. I actually set up a tiny studio on my computer table. I cleared a decent space in a corner of it, so that the computer screen would cast a bit of light on it, turned an ice-cream box inside out for a backdrop. Then I blue tacked a sheet of paper to the table to hold it still and then blue tacked the box to that. Then I made a little blue tack creature. But my camera’s batteries were low, so I had to find more. Eventually I did and I blue tacked it to the table so that it wouldn’t move. I experimented with lighting (It was poor and the “studio” was too light for the flash). So I held the torch over my little person and took the picture, turned off the torch, moved him, turned on the torch, took a picture, turned off the torch etc.
I had him wave first and then , after a bit of hassle, managed to put it together in windows movie maker. It was cute. Then I recorded my voice on my MP3 saying “Hellooo” and after more hassle it was added to the video. It was a very tedious process and lasted for about a second or two. But it was enough. Then I started filming again in the same way. He patted his head before frantically waving his arms around. I put that in. Then I recorded myself screaming that I had no eyes and put it in. Then mum came home and I showed her how far I’d got. She was impressed, even though it only came to a few seconds, even after I’d added in the title credits. I told her what I planned to do next and filmed it shortly after, but the torch was beginning to fade and I had to keep hitting it. Two little balls of blue tack rolled up to him, he picked them up, turned round (It was easier that way) and put them in before turning back. I then recorded myself saying “Huh? What’s that?” and had a sound of him putting the eyes in. After that I filmed one last set of frames. He did an exceptionally cute wave and I recorded myself saying “Bye bye”. I put it all together and added some end credits.
It was short but cute, and I’d definitely like to try it again but a little better.
Well, I think that’s all of my news for now.
Bluebiird out.
