I'm a Diced Tomato

School, School, School.

So film studies is not going to happen next year because not enough people signed up for it. At first I was pretty upset because I love movies, but now it's okay because I've decided to take "Spectrum of Music", or Music Theory. I should really just take this class anyway. I love playing my keyboard and my piano and I should know more about music. I guess I was a bit turned off at the idea at first because I had horrible band class experiences in middle school. There was a point in my life after that were I really wouldn't touch any musical instruments much. But I've been inspired. Hopefully they won't cancel that class, either. Ugh. If that will be the case, I'm screwed. I'll be taking a class I won't like, (most likely) but that won't be the first time. At least I'm taking my first formal art class next year. I can't wait. It's like last year when I couldn't wait to take World History this year.

I talked to a history teacher at my school for the first time who was in the Vietnam War. I finally got around to talking to him. Wow. I was basically shaking around him. Amazing man. He was there for four years. Four years. That is amazing. He was in an airborne division. Really sweet guy. He said,

"Back then I thought I was fighting for a good cause. Now I know better. I would never want to go through that again."

I wasn't surprised. He wants to read my report after I'm done. I'm sorta nervous to give it to him! One of the most interesting and most chilling things for me to read was about the Kent State Massacre. I spent about two hours researching it on the interent, not for the report as much, but I was just so fascinated by it. Absolutely chilling.

And later after school this happened:

Aww it's such a shame when early experiences can ruin(even temporarily) something beautiful for you. You've done so well though, for being a self-taught genius

Once again I say all problems are solved when you come to my school:
    1) We have an awesome film studies/ creative writing class
    and
    2) You'd be going to school with me- I mean come on, it doesn't get much better than that.
