Just an Update

I've not been on much in the last week or two since things have been so busy. I've been trying to find the time to write more, and I'm well into another chapter now. I still really don't have the time to devote to my writing, but I'm making the time anyway. I still hope to finish my novel sometime in the future, and it will never happen if I don't start making the time to write. Being busy really isn't an excuse for giving up on something that it important, so I'm refusing to do that.
My house is going up beautifully. I need to go take some new pictures, but here is one I have from a week or so ago.

They've since added siding that I've yet to see. I've been working too much to make it over in the day time to take a gander. They are also working on my drywall in the house, and all of the initial electrical wiring is finished. I got the chance to walk through, and everything looks really nice. There wasn't anything that jumped out as being a mistake or anything. They are expecting that I'll be able to close on the place in little more than a month.
Work has just been long. There isn't too much more I can say about that. We've been cleaning the store for an upcoming visit from corporate, and it has meant so excessively long hours on my part. I didn't leave last night until after midnight. Needless to say, I'm anticipating my two days off. I hope to catch up on some sleep and enjoy some time with my kids.
I'm also finally going to get in to see the doctor about my allergies. I'm also going to find out what I did to my hand. That is all on Wednesday. Tomorrow I have an interview with a market research company, and I'm hoping that I may find a position there. We'll see how things go, but I'm hoping that this will be the time that everything works out. Lent is over, so I've not commitment to my current job. I can give my two weeks and move on. I hate to leave my general manager in a bind, but even the same money and fewer hours is looking very attractive to me now.
Anyhow, that's my bit of an update. If you didn't look, there's Chapter 14 of my story up. Now that I'm forcing in the time to write, I hope to start posting at a minimum one chapter a week. I apologize for the time that it took me to finish this one.
I hope all is well for everyone else.
Take Care,
Meg
