Dear Old Dad

I had the coolest Dad a kid could ask for. He was a football coach, and he had taught all four of his kids to get in the ready position as linemen do, then take off on the command of "Hut!" He had a second job as a Parks & Recreation Director, which paid very little. He created several parks, and employed several of his atheletes. I always had a lot of big friends that way, if you know what I mean.
Anyways, Dad was a teacher. He taught 8th grade English. When I was growing up, I would get "seriously reprimanded" for little things like mispelling science. Dad also coached Baseball and Basketball, neither of which I was very good at. I remember when I wanted to quit basketball. I just quit. I wasn't going to go to practice when I would just sit there and ride the pine. My Mom told me, "You might want to take up another sport. Did you ever try Wrestling?" I hadn't, so I thought I would give it a shot. It was one of the best things to happen to me atheletically. I excelled at it. Soon my older brother Tom was wrestling in highschool. I went to the same highschool, and Tom was my captain my Freshman year. It was so much fun. I owe Mom a lot for those sound words of advice. Wait I thought this was an entry about Dad. Well, I want a girl, just like the girl, that married dear old Dad. My Mom's family used to sing that...I'll blog more about that for you later. Heres another song they taught us when we were young, and they performed when they were young. I play in on harmonica, but my cousins sang a duet of it to my grandmother on her 90th birthday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uks-K...eature=related
