Now THAT's and old song....Going to the chapel and we're gonna get ma-a-arried....**sigh**
Alas, it is not me who is getting married, but rather, my niece, a tall slender volleyball playing running record setting actuary to a very handsome man from Nigeria. I'm sorry to say I don't know nearly as much about him but I will after this weekend. His family is coming from Nigeria. My brother-in-law, my niece's dad, is an absolute riot. Everyone will know each other very well by the time we leave. There will be much singing and celebrating and we will all worship together on Sunday.
So, I will be leaving late this afternoon for Michigan and I am hoping for a beautiful drive. It's raining right now but there are promises of a gorgeous weekend. I decided to make a nice little retreat of it, stopping off in Grand Rapids. I will get up early in the morning and visit the fabulous Meijer Garden and Sculpture Park. I hear the butterflies are in 'bloom'. I am also anxious to see Lake Michigan from the other side as I drive home on Sunday. I've only seen it from Chicago and the Indiana Dunes Lakeshore....





If you look very closely, you can see a tiny bit of the Chicago skyline popping up.
