A gift from Suzie

Rate this Entry
Hello, I wanted to tell you what Suzie got me for a gift while I was gone.
First off, there was liter size mug. On the side it says,
"Are You Drunk Yet?"

Anyways, inside there was a card. It reads...

On the cover!

Irish Blessing

May there always be work for your hands to do,
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane,
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you,
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
But this is already special, I am overwhelmed what is on the inside of the card. Remember this is the month that I celebrate my conception. Forty years ago on a leap year.

On the left inside of the card.
May God bless you abundantly through the intercession of St. Patrick.

On the right inside of the card.
You are being remembered by the
Missionary Oblates in two
Solemn Mass Novenas beginning on
March 9, and ending on the
feast of St. Patrick, March 17.
One will be celebrated at
Our Lady of Knock Shrine in County Mayo, Ireland,
and the second at the
National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows
in Belleville, Illinois.

To whomsoever I owe such an honour. I am truly humbled, and bless you for your kind wishes. I am sustained, and my faith renewed. Peace to my good friends here at Lit~Net & those that they love! B

An interesting side note. This is my 103rd entry. My bunk number in Basic Training was #103 Bravo Company 1st Battallion, 19th Infantry Regiment (Training). This was the same Company that Pat Tillman was in almost 14 years later. B

The Irish Blessing has always been a favorite of mine. someone in my family used to say that to us when we passed a milestone in life. *** edit: I forgot to add that I also had a family member who always gave me those cards that said I was having a Novena said for me at some mass by some priests somewhere. I wonder what will happen to me when she stops giving me those Novenas? Every birthday, most Easters and at Christmas I would get those cards so I guess I've had many prayers said for me over the years. It's probably time I started doing my own prayer work.
