Long suffering Wife Leaves Me

Technically true.
For another woman.
Wait a moment. I'm not a woman I'm an old dude.
Rephrase: For a woman.
Ah a career writing for the Enquirer headline copy was lost when I disdained cheap ploys like provocative blog titles to attract readers.
Logos waits for the inevitable clever, phony shot at our non-relationship wishing for the thousandth time she had never encouraged that crazy New Yorker to start a blog.
Well why not: Here's one: Mtpspur sulks in Ohio while Mod Logos lingers in Canada. Is a reconciliation in sight?!!
Again technically true but far misleading.
But what about the Long Suffering Spouse?? Oh tell us, tell us.
We will get the worst part of the news out of the way first.
She left today.
Be back tomorrow.
Her and Amy were talking yesterday and out the blue Amy (in Indiana) decided Ruthie and her together in church for Easter would be just the thing.
Now I'm brought into this with: "Would you be upset if I went to Indiana for the weekend?"
Why does everyone seem to think I upset easily or jump to grizzley mode at the drop of a beehive?? We are a drama queen--not a scene chewer. We have standards to our soap opera and style with a dash of panance.
Well of course you can go but --had to be said: Do you have the overmiles for the tow home?? It will be interesting to see how the Neon behaves. I decide God is testing ME again to trust His providence. I remind myself there is no insurance to cash in for the grieving widower so no temptations there to start funeral planning and collecting sympathy for your loss.
Then the true suffering for the spouse begins. I begin to sing the Patty Duke TV Show theme song --involves identical cousins--with great animation and an attempt at dancing extolling the virtues of Amy. Who really is NOT a friend to me but she seems to love Ruth and I don't expect Ruth to like everyone I care about so we're cool.
One of my complaints is this will be Ruth's third trip there to Amy's NONE back to here (for which I constantly gives thanks for the large blessing) but it seems somewhat discourteous to Ruth BUT she's so darn sweet she doesn't see it that way. It's two and a half hour drive one way.
Ruth had to work today and at this time is probably in Indiana by now. She left me lunch money which was slightly embezzled to buy Avengers #304. I now own 112 out of 503. But the beef hot shot was fine. I work tomorrow so I won't see her until about 10:30 tomorrow night. On the midnight run tonight with plans to watch some more Clint Walker's Cheyenne when I get home.
So she'll be back and by the grace of God so will I here in blogland in a week or so.
I promise it will be awhile before I cheap ploy a blog title again.
