Isn't it nice when the pounds start falling off!!!
Just think not only are you feeling better but think of the new clothing you get to buy.

Very much well wishes on your health program. The long suffering one tries from time to time but it will probably always be a battle for her. That's one subject that was rarely a problem in the years of marriage. Money, kids and marriage benefits seem to be the lading contenders and not necessarily in that order.

HA! Guess what I'm eating: CHOCOLATE! :P Sorry, just had to rub it in. Good luck with the diet. I'm trying to eat healthier, too, but today is Easter and I plan on treating myself first. Cheers!

Thats awesome Niamh! It makes you feel good to see a little progress. My diet is still ongoing, but I am now around 187 pounds from the original 205 or so. My stomach has gotten smaller, and I can't eat as much, so take that into account as you continue. It took about 3 weeks to get to that point. Hugs, Kisses, and Cowbells to you. B

I visited my parents yesterday. my dad is a big macho gorilla who's always calling other people "sissy" etc when they are not as tough as him. but when he's got a cold he'll lie on the sofa and shout "I'm dying, I'm dying, leave me alone" and nobody's allowed to stir in the house even if it's 5 rooms away from him. Anyway, I told my parents about the IBS diet, because my mum knows a lot about nutrition and is a big fan of cabbages and other gas-prone veg. Whenever someone's got a weight problem or something wrong with their digestion she preaches about cabbage and yogurt etc. So it was a shock for her to find out that there is one bowel problem that cabbages canNOT sort out. Anyway, my dad (very predictably) made fun of IBS and said it's all nonsense. But my tummy bloated up very conveniently after lunch, so he shut up.
Anyway, I'm not doing the IBS diet and I don't think I ever will... but maybe I'll try it for a week and if it helps, I'll do it every couple of weeks. thanks for that link again
