Exiled in a kilt

Ok, I joined this forum four years ago today. I was at college & messing around on the 'net instead of dragging myself out of the house to go to class. I am no longer sure of the exact reason I ended up here, it may have been looking for Paradise Lost or possibly Animal Farm - I am pretty sure my first activity in the forum was a discussion with Crisaor about whether a technocracy would be a good thing.

The forum has of course grown exponentially since my first visit & a lot of the older members who were here when I first joined have either moved on to other things & dont visit here anymore (eg AP, kik, Amuse, emily65321, simon, and the very bad parents), then there are the old faces that drop in everynow and again then get recaptured by the hell that is reality (Koa, SUB, crisaor, Stan etc) there are still plenty of the old-timers still running around the fora in general.

Today I have the old Orange style forum colour scheme going, Wow, I had forgotten quite how bright that used to be. It did make me think though, is it not time that the "new" tag was taken off of the normal style?

So, this forum has been my refuge from reality during a lot of times, ranging from my worries about passing college; euphoria of finishing and starting working for the govt; union hassle & a six month stint unloading trucks at Wal-Mart to the current home on the shores of Lake Huron.

There has been the ocassional serious post from me, but I do spend the majority of my time either lurking or in the toy dept - hence why it took me 2 years to get to 1,000 posts something a lot of members nowadays manage in around 2 months.
