I have this UNCONTROLLABLE URGE to create art and mutate my system (i.e. my plain black hoodie) and SHOUT out about the world outside. This is what they meant by an Uncontrollable Urge.

Knowledge Bowl is almost over-last competition is next Thursday. There is this one jerk on the team-but I think it's better than last year because I was basically ignored (more) then and they were all pretty much jerks except two. It's because I'm this small little young girl. Oh well. I've got better things to look at in my life. Don't get me wrong, I love Knowledge Bowl, but I hate meanie heads and people who take things waaaaayyyy too seriously. I think they only things I take seriously in this life are how screwed up the world is and people who take things too seriously. () Just another kid who thinks he knows everything.

I registered for next year's classes and I really, really like them. I will have English AP, U.S. History AP, Chemistry, Algebra 2, Art I, (!!!!!!!!First formal art class!!!!!) and then Intro to Philosophy one semester and Film Studies the next. I will be taking Spanish 3 at the local college this summer to get that OUTTA MY WAY. FINALLY. But I think this is, and will always be one of the best years of my life and I will be really, really sad to see it go.

Rented "Freaks" tonight. Reminds me of the song "Mongoloid". Very DEVO.

I'm beginning an essay on Advertising and Consumerism and my views on it. Kind of a repeat of what I did a couple months ago, but it really interests me and we're supposed to pick a controversial topic that is close to our hearts. It was soooo hard for me to choose. At first I wanted to rant on fundamentalism and fanaticism and how it's everywhere but teach said that wasn't really controversial because not many people agree with insane dictators. I also was thining about writing on reverse discrimination because I feel strongly about that, too. But I'm writing on how people don't use their Freedom of Choice anymore and how advertising can dehumanize and urge you to conform. (I'm slipping in a bit about fundamentalism in there, so it's all good. )

I'm going to dye the tips of my hair electric green soon.
