Sci Fi Story

Well, here I am in the middle of nowhere (still). Actually I stay in one camp at one rig location, and travel back and forth to another drilling rig whenever they need help. Lots of excitement here lately.

1.) Had both rigs coming out of the hole at the same time which means lots of work for me. One of the rigs broke some equipment that prevents the well from exploding out of the ground, and the person in charge had them weld the piece back together. Someone complained about the safety of the procedure, and he ignored their concern....He was sent home (fired)

2.) Later the same night as 1. happened, the same person rolled a pickup truck on the ice road between rigs. I was driving to the other rig to lay down the tools and got a surprise when the road was closed off with vehicles trying to return the pickup to the upright position (am I flying to much lately).

3.) Well the third wasn't that exciting, but it was surprising to go into see the person that organises flights in and out of the location and here the laughter of women...not one but 3 women! Its amazing how just hearing a woman laugh can make your day... well its only been 2 weeks since I saw one. Its also amazing that any woman is attractive after 2 weeks. Ok, nuff said.
