Exiled in a kilt

Ok, I feel like blogging but I have no particularly interesting thoughts currently so I thought I'd tell you a story about me as a child.

When I was young I was obsessed with pigs. The only animal on Old MacDonald's farm I cared about was the one that went Oink, to hell with the stupid cows and ducks, I only wanted to hear the verse about the pig. Somewhere along the line, I got it into my head that it would be tremendous fun to ride a pig.

Anyway, there was a TV show at the time called Jim'll Fix It, where kids would write letters to the show about what they reaaly wanted to do & the host, Jim Saville, would "fix it" for them to get a chance to do whatever it was. The show was always filled with young boys getting to train for a day with their favourite sports stars, or spend a day pretending to be a fireman. I wrote in and asked Jim to fix it for me to ride a pig. Needless to say, Jim did NOT fix it for me and I never got to ride a pig.


In some other news, as a lad I used to be able to bend my pinkie back so that the tip of it touched the back of my wrist. How I found out that I could do this I dont know, but out of curiosity I tried it again yesterday and I am quite sure I have broken it.....

    That would have been a funny sight on Jim Will Fix it!!! you should have asked to be a pig farmer for the day and tried to sit on one then! I hope you havent broken your pinkie kilted...

    I was really hoping that Jim had fixed it for you! I just tried the pinkie thing and I can't make it either- the boys won't try but I wonder if they can

    That is a good story with the pigs. Perhaps you should get one as a pet. I've seen kids who could bend certain fingers back to their arm. I think it was their thumb, but it's been so long I've forgotten exactly.

    Cute how you had this thing about pigs, I also love 'em! My blog has some cute pics, mind you, but then you probably already knew that. Take care of that finger, now, eh?
