Dead Battery

Yep. Went out this morning, fifteen minutes before my class is to begin and my car wouldn't start. Luckily my friend was working at the Household Pantry today and she zipped over and picked me up so I still arrived before my students.
So, after school I purchased a new battery and another friend's husband, who is a tow truck driver, is stopping by to change it for me. I wish I weren't such a girlie girl and could do it myself. I don't believe the actual procedure is that difficult but just finding the correct tools...heck, just finding the battery was a task. It's under the air filter. I think that's what that is. Naturally there isn't enough light in the garage and it's very very cold with snow flurries here and there. It will definitely be worth paying someone with experience.
I tried to buy the new battery at a friend's auto parts store but he didn't have the one I needed. Darn. I really wanted to support his small downtown shop. Within the last six months two big auto parts chains have opened up in town and I'm afraid he is going to be run out of business.
Boy, I sure would like to take a nap.
