i was busy in my class today.we were reading a post modern text.capote's 'in cold blood'. Such a horrifying story.It is a non fiction novel- a hybrid genre in which the writer can infuse different techniques; like film,novel,journalism etc.this is sth called investigating journalism.What disturbed me is the very thought of to mock at every serious thing.My teacher keeps saying that the post modern world is sth which subverts humour in a serious issue.It abandones hope,looking forward,only today does matter.Sth linked to pop art. But the idea depress me.How can we make fun at sorrow.i tried sometimes but it didn't work.At least you cannot laugh at death,suffering,inhumanity.i told my sir that i saw the capote movie but couldn't finish it for i can't stand such kind of movies.But to my utter surprise my teacher said he would like lend my dvd,for he likes this kind of stuff like mueder,bloodshed...!I he laughs when such scenes arrives (unlike me).I think some people really can enjoy brutality,can laugh at sorrows,can mock at seriousness.
