I know I'm late

Okay.
So I’ve been putting this off.
Why?
Because I’m lazy .
Right. Nothing interesting that I can think of about the passed week until Friday, so I’ll start from there.
Okay. Friday. I sat on the bus. Nothing unusual there. I was wearing my Friday jumper (which is actually a kind of cardigan which I didn’t know before. I thought those puny buttons were just decoration ). Now, I’ve already had to repair it once, the bottom button was dangerously loose and the one above was a little loose too. So I fixed them the Thursday before last. But nothing could have prepared me for what happened this time.
I was resting my elbow on the window and my head on my hand, as you do, and I noticed a little tuft of thread. I gave it a very gentle tug (if you could even call it a tug) to try and remove it. Half of the seam on my wrist popped open. I was stunned. After half of my wrist was split I started to panic. What if I left it like that and it got caught on something and the whole thing fell apart. It was unthinkable.
I thought if only I could hold it in place until I get home, then I can sew it back up. At this thought I remembered what I keep in my pencil case (From when I was repairing my bag about a year or so ago in the car and decided to keep it in case) A sewing needle. I had two pins too but they’ve gone walk about. I got the needle out, threaded it with difficulty with the extra thread I’d now accumulated. But there was a little bit of thread that I’d kept on the needle from before, so I could find it and I learned that the more I tried and pull the seam together the more the seam split and the knot at the end was pulling apart the rest of the sleeve slowly. I had to remove the knot. But I’d tied it too tight. I tried pulling it off, sawing it with the zipper on my bag. Eventually I decided to use a tried and tested tool, my keys. But, lacking an extra arm I couldn’t hold the needle, thread and my sleeve as well as the key. This was a real problem. Now, there’s a hole in the front pouch of my bag (It’s meant to be there, I didn’t put it there) that has a kind of rubbery cover save for the cross cut into it. The white picture of headphones on it tells me that the front pouch was designed to hold a CD player and the hole is for the headphones to go through. Why am I telling you this? Well, the idea struck me to slot the key through the hole, safe in the knowledge that the rubber would hold it. So I did and after a few more tries I managed to saw off the knot. It was poorly stitched in the first place you see, I was horrified. It had now split the whole wrist. I was panicking. I thought, I need a pin to hold it together while I sew, either that or miraculously grow a third arm. But I’d lost my pins. A bit more thought followed until I happened on a brilliant idea (though some would think it creepy and even disgusting but I honestly can’t think why). I decided to search my hair for a strand of dead hair (I shed a lot and my hair’s quite long, though the ends keep splitting). I found one, with two splits at the end but that didn’t matter. I threaded it onto the needle and roughly sewed up the seam, not to repair it but to hold it together so that I could use the other thread. It worked too, I was thrilled. Then I sewed it up and unpicked the hair nearer to the end, as it had served it’s purpose. I then continued sewing. My next problem came when the thread doubled up on itself and I didn’t notice in time. This meant that not only was I pulling four strands together instead of the original two but that I had less to tie it off at the end. This caused me great concern. I just managed to reach the end but there wasn’t enough thread to tie it off. I decided to stick the needle into my sleeve and take it home, the sleeve couldn’t fall apart on the way home. I was going to put it in vertically but either way it would have stabbed my wrist, I thought, so I put it in horizontally. I managed to get home without a hitch and fixed it then.
I‘ve got Saturday’s update to add, but my IT teacher’s browsing and I don’t have the time. But fear not, I shall include it .

Bluebiird out.
