Attack of the Blue Rays!
Hello chaps and chapesses.
Long time speaky :-(
Here is some news from the Geekdom.
HD-DVD is dead! It has been vapourised by Blue Rays.
So if you have already bought HD-DVD player, you might as well through it out of the window!
Good news for the 8 million odd Playstation 3 owners
Lord of the Rings is coming out on Blue Ray soon - so hurrah to that!
And now something about Dark Matter
What is it?
When Astronomers look up galaxies through their telescopes they see something beautiful but they also see something is mixing. The mass of the galaxy they measure it seems can't hold the galaxy together. It should fly apart. So what keeps it together? They don't know. So they hypothesise - that there must be some invisible matter keeping the galaxies ripping themselves apart. This missing matter they have dubbed "Dark Matter" - who said Scientists can't be poetic? (except Engineers because there is nothing poetic about Engineering).
Anyway the Large Hadron Collider soon to be fully operational may give us a clue...
Universe is Mind-bogglingly Big and Bizzare!
