Venting Part two- the car:(

Rate this Entry
First, thank you all for you advice and comfort. Onto part two of this little drama. It seems that the car I'm driving is being repossessed and it must be returned soon. In the next couple of days soon... This wouldn't be an issue if my own vehicle wasn't in Washington still or if there was another vehicle my Mum and Dad could let me borrow. They had the best of intentions on letting me use one, but the cars are broke so they don't have one to loan.

Sooooo, onto plan B for the hubby and I. It looks like I may just be buying another car to have, and we'll sell one of them in a couple of months when my other car gets here. I'm hoping to find something to fit both of the dogs, and then I'll just sell my Neon. We'll see how that works out. Now all I have to do is find something decent that will not put too big of a hole in the pocket book. We can't make any huge purchases if we want all to continue to go well with building a home. It looks like whatever I buy will be bought with cash, and hopefully it will cost less than three or four thousand. At least I'm back in Ohio where you can find alright cars for that price.

I'm ready to pull out my hair. When it rains, it pours and everything seems to be working against us at the moment. I just keep telling myself there is an end in sight. I hope things will settle with my in laws, and on a good note it seems that they have some of the money they owe us. They've a thousand of it, and the other thousand when the income tax deposits. That will help offset the cost of a new car. Now I just have to find something that isn't a complete hunk of junk and a waste of money.

I hope everyone here has been having a better day. I'm off to look at cars and see if I can find anything worth spending money on. Wish me luck.

With Love,
Meg

Oh man I hate money troubles. Especially those that involve cars because they really are a major rip off and they (car dealers/companies) can get away with it because a lot of us are dependent on them because there is no getting from A to B without them. I hope it works out. I can't wait till my tax refund comes in. and this economic stimulus package...we're all supposed to go out and spend money to stimulate the economy. Whatever. This Christmas I returned a gift I got from Wal-mart to Wal-Mart, got store credit, and then bought groceries from the supercenter...something tells me I won't be shopping for fun with my rebate..

The cars have been killing me recently too. I have an alternator problem but my co-workers found one for $20 and Tonya is actively putting the pressure on one for fleet drivers to install it. Or else I can get the son-in-law too--see I can be a good in-law too. Best to you on the new car. I have no leeway for a new one anytime soon.

Good luck, Meg! I could write a book on car woes, but I settled for an angry poem in my blog called "Curse The Car" .... there will be more of those, btw... just had an incident with a flat tire and my power steering needs a daily sip of whatever that junk is that my husband buys to feed the monster ... **sigh**
