I'm back to my old self again
(that self I never knew until now)

I read some refreshing words (my own)

restored some peace to my soul

retired some tired views,
renewed an unclean soul.

I'm back to my old self again
(I saw her again tonight)

I'm ready to open all the doors now
(she's always been here at my side)

what I saw tonight was what I saw the first time,
when I saw what I saw tonight.

what a beautiful view-
strange that heaven and hell grew so close together.
