I'm so glad to finally get to do this! It's a bit later than I hoped, but our computer is only allowing a short while everyday.
I've still been thinking a lot about what you said about evolution. Thank you, a lot, for sharing that, as it really put things into perspective for me. Wednesday I'm going to an appointment with my psych professor to ask him some questions on evolutionary psychology and I'm in between excited and apprehensive. It promises to be an enlightening time, but since I know (I've learned?) that I'm not perfect I'm somewhat more confident that I won't get mired in something irrelevant. It's kind of weird that in evolutionary thinking people are allowed to be unperfect on their road to ultimate perfection; as I read and do school and learn really, how depraved I am, I hate how awful I would be were it not for God's grace. Yet we are made whole in Christ.
Thank Heaven for God!I'm glad He's in charge.
Blogging. I've always enjoyed your entries Rich. You couch whatever you want to say in a wryly humorous way that garners readers -- I end up WANTING to read your entries. But I think I understand what you mean about blogging from the heart instead of blogging stuff that doesn't seem quintessential to your being.
Do you know, when I asked why do you read my blog I didn't think I'd be complimented, and this isn't the first time I've done something like that. Very dorky times, I must admit, as my purpose is usually obscured in something vaguely academic. Like asking weird psychological questions.
I really, really appreciate your giving God the glory!! That's one of the things I love about you--you know very well where praise goes!!
Friendship is important to me, like I said. I too have lots of acquaintances; not many people...well...they are a bit weirded out, perhaps rightfully so, by me.
Thank you for your friendship. It means so much to me! The LitNet has opened way for real friendships with adults (!!!) like you. In real life I wouldn't be able to because most times adults talk with each other. I've learned a lot from you, and am honored that you consider me a friend.
I am interested in differences between me and others because otherwise I'd be intolerable.
Love,
Andave
