"When are you coming back?" the 3D image on the transmitter fuzzed then regained it's normal figure.

"I'm not sure," Tyler replied.

"What? You aren't going to stay there are you? What about Auni?"

"No, fool! I'm not staying here. But I have come up with a plan to get the Cointa from Auni."

"Oh... what is it."

"That would be telling. But from now on, you can not make contack with me unless under complete emergency."

"Yes, sir."

"I'll contact you threw the transmitter in the eleventh of the Kios sun. But never can you contact me. Understood?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good."

"I'm so glad to see you!" Auni repeated, hugging Madoline for the hundredth time since Kioshi had left them alone in their room. Auni had cried in the throne room and so did Madoline. Now they held hands and just sat on the bed, enjoying each and every moment they had together. The bed they sat on was a canopy and its curtains seemed to be made out of light green clouds. And the bed was so soft. Auni couldn't keep her self from falling on it over and over. Though seventeen, she still fell into the habit of over playing her compassion for something. "I've been so lonely without you!"

"Me too!" Madoline said, tears stains were still fresh on her cheeks.

"As soon as all this is settled, we are leaving."

"But I kinda like it."

Auni looked at Madoline with surprise.

“How can you? It isn’t home?”

“Home is were the heart is. And my heart can be here.” Madoline said with a child’s voice in a grown-up’s fraise. Auni was surprised that little Madoline could come up with that.

“My heart can’t ever be out on another planet.”

“No, but it can be with someone. Someone like Kioshi.”

“What are you indicating?!” Auni raised her voice slightly.

“Nothing,” she replied shrugging. “But I like Kioshi, he’s special.”

“Someone’s got a crush,” Auni teased trying to lighten Madoline’s serious mood but it didn’t work.

“No. But he cares for us... I can tell. Can’t you?”

“No. I still don’t pay attention to guys. And Kioshi no different.”

Listen to the child. A voice said.

Oh-my-Gosh! It’s back! Auni jumped under her skin. Why wouldn’t it just leave her alone? For that obvious comment, I won’t.

“We should be going to bed, Mad.” Auni said pulling down the covers for Madoline to get in. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Auni went across the room and opened it. It was Kioshi.

“Can I have a moment with you?” he asked.

“What ever you have to say can be said in front of Madoline,” Auni reproached. She wasn’t up to talking.

“No, it can’t,” he said and pulled Auni out. This stunned Auni promptly and she looked at him with surprise. His pale vibrant eyes looked heavily down at her. He let go of her arm and calmly spoke, “Shut the door.”

Auni shut it, and as soon as the rooms light was gone and they stood in the darkness she became desperately afraid. The moon shone perfectly on his dark outfit, and he looked very powerful.

“There is something I must tell you,” his had a small edge of sorrow in it that Auni couldn’t catch. “Eligantia, your friend, was first with us on the journey to rescue you. But when I left them, someone from O.T. came and attached them while they slept. They shot Eligantia. She is no longer living.”

Auni’s brain froze and tears ran down her cheeks. Eligantia, dead? That couldn’t happen! She was her best friend. The tears started to come more harshly, and she put her head in her face and cried. Kioshi didn’t touch her and let her cry. There was nothing he could do. Auni cried for several minutes. How could this happen? Wasn’t her being separated from her entire old world enough?

This is what happens, Auni. The voice said.

"Shut up!" Auni whispered out loud to the voice through tears. Kioshi looked at her with question, but he said nothing. Finally, Auni stopped crying. She wiped her eyes and went back to go inside, "I have to tall Mad."

Kioshi held the door closed and looked at her heavily.

"Don't tell Madoline," he said.

"Mad has every right to know!" Auni snapped, her voice braking.

"True, but let her enjoy some joy for awhile."

She frowned deeply but realized the truth of his words. Madoline was much younger the Auni and to know that Eligantia was dead could utterly brake Madoline's will. Breathing deeply, Auni opened the door and entered the room. The light was off and Auni could hear the sound of Madoline sleeping. Good. thought Auni as she threw herself on the bed and cried herself to sleep.
************************************************** **********************

Auni woke up with a tear stained pillow and a heavy heart. But for Madoline's sake, she kept it to herself.. Luckily, being at a new place kept the occupied.

Later in the evening that day, as appointed by Fia, they gathered inside the throne room

"Lady and gentle elves of Nyeymouel," began Fia, "We have gathered here to announce our decision on whether or not Kioshi should be Auni's teacher. After much consideration of the fact that he is not a symbolized master, yet he does fight as one, we have decided. Take note that this was, and somewhat still is, a hard decision, but circumstances called that we made our decision on what is needed and not what is tradition. Under the condition that Goxacu would over see everything, which he has agreed on, Kioshi may teach Auni."

Cheers and gasps both went through the crowd. Kioshi made a small bow and exited the room.

"It is agreed. Attend to your original things if you wish."

Fia swept up her dress and walked out of the throne room.
************************************************** **********************

"So what do we do first?" Auni asked Kioshi.

"We move you," he answered.

"What?"

"You aren't going to sleep in the room you slept in last night. One of the things I do not agree with Fia on is how to treat a training warrior. she treats them like royalty. I will treat you like a citizen who has no extra privileges. You'll sleep were al the rest of the citizens of the palace sleep."

"I'm not a warrior."

"Well who ever told you that has misinformed you."

Auni stopped following him. Hardly did she believe him.

"What about Madoline?" she asked.

Kioshi stopped and looked at her direction then studied the floor in thought.

"She will stay here." he replied, knowing that it would raise an uproar.

"What!?"

"You must be use to not having close people around you. But seeing the situation, you'll be allowed to visit her, or she you, whenever you please."

"So whenever I'm not in training?"

Kioshi looked up at her sharply.

"You are always in training."

Shurtzie, the quality of your writing shines through in this on-going story. Aside from the occasional spelling error, I feel I am reading something that would come from a published writer. Honest. Does your teacher ever read your work? You really are talented, and I mean that. This entry was no disappointment to the level of entertainment that I have been accustomed to in this on-going story. Love it, Shurtzie!
