Exiled in a kilt

My Current reading list

Rate this Entry
Ok, not much to say but I felt like blogging so I thought I'd put up what is currently at the top of my reading list:

1) The Judgement of Paris - Gore Vidal (I started this before, but for one reason or another never finished it. Will read it properly this time)

2) No Country for Old Men - Cormac McCarthy (I bought this at the airport to read in Scotland but didnt get round to it)

3) What If? - Collection of essays by War Historians (another airport buy, it is an examination of how the world might have been different if different outcomes had taken place in various battles throughout history - I am really interested to read this, yeah, I know I'm a dork)

4) The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists - Tressell (Have been meaning to read this for a while, currently in a mood to do so)

5) The Faerie Queene - Spenser (I went through a period a few months ago of reading the epic poems, this is the main one remaining)

6) Pride & Prejudice - Austen (Yes, I know "anti-austenite" etc but I have tried to read this a number of times and just cant get through it & I am going to give it one last go)

So, thats the current list. No more book buying until I finish at least the first 5, will see how P&P goes......

If you cant get through P&P swap it for Persuasion instead. Much better( will in my opinion...) And let us know about the Faerie Queen. Always wanted to read that...
