Peanut Butter Ideals

Monday nights from 7-10 p.m. are probably not the most conducive to the study of Ethics. While quite an interesting subject, around this time at night trying to polish off a PBJ sandwich and cram an essay, I really begin to wonder at the study of ideologies. I wonder how many people wander out of the classroom at the end of the night totally burned out and wondering where all the ideals REALLY fit into our lives.
I do understand the WHYS of studying philosophy: like questioning the answers in order to form our own beliefs. But I am really left wondering what type of beliefs a person has who teaches all of the ideologies to a class of twenty-two.
I begin to wonder if a true philosopher, or philosophy professor, can really manage to keep his own string of thoughts tied together while unravelling his students'. It seems like he should go bonkers with all the philosophical studies pulling, pushing and tugging around in his brain.
Another thing that bothers me. I wonder if there is a general political party philosophers belong to, or maybe it only seems so obvious in public colleges in California.
Just letting the string of thoughts come out my ears...I love philosophy, but when you're as busy as I am, you tend to wonder if there really is a point...afterall, at the end of the day it is all a matter of personal opinion.
Nighty night! Prayers for you all.
