Mysterious phrase

I was going through a box yesterday....my wonderful snow day ....when I came across an old envelope with a phone number and a list and on the other side, an interesting phrase. At first I thought I had written down a quote I liked but it wasn't complete and there was no reference to a name. I finally figured out it must be something I scribbled down in the middle of a sleepless night.
Do you ever do this?

    I notate an intriguing dream in a notebook now and then... and possibly a scrap of a Haiku when I am tossing and turning.... yay -- WE are normal!

    I do this quite often too, mostly while reading I like to keep a notebook near to write down ideas that may spontaneously occur. I have also crawled out of bed on cold sleepless nights to find a notebook to write something down. Often though, I've found that these phrases don't sound quite so good in the morning .
