I miss it here:(

I don't know where to start with what life has been doing lately. All I can say is that it has been busy, and truthfully that's all I really want to say. I would love to escape the black hole I'm in at the moment, but it isn't going to happen until I've found another job. I'm still looking hard, but P&G has turned me down and basically said to not apply for any more positions at this time. Talk about a blow to the ego:( I'm still confidant, but in the meantime I need to focus on making my current situation work. I hate my job (well all the odd hours at least), and my home loan is having a couple of hiccups. I think they're strait now, but we'll see.

Anyway, off to more fun topics than how lousy things have been going. First  I've two days off in a row. I don't know how it happened, but I'm loving it. I've today and tomorrow, and it is revitalizing me a bit. I've spent some time trying to work on a baby blanket, but I've also been trying to write. I've been working on another chapter of Kings Queens and Pawns, but I don't know when I'll have it finished. I've been trying to edit some of the earlier parts, but I think that I'll just leave it all till the end. Once everything is written then I can see about ironing out the difficult bits. I think I know where I'm going, but the story has been evolving in my head into other things. Now I'll just write and see where the story takes me. I'm almost curious to see if the end result is anything similar to the original plan. I think the overall theme will be similar, but the way it comes about isn't going to be what I had originally thought. Granted, the characters have taken on more life, and it is much harder to fit them into my original mold for the tale.

I'm hoping to make more time, not only for my writing, but for visiting here as well. I've made some friends here, and the truth is that I've missed my visits. I know I've little time for reading so the book club is out at the moment, but I would like to be around more than I am. The friendships and connections I've made here are invaluble to me, and they are not something that I wish to lose because everything else. The only really great news is that I think it is starting to wind down. I should have everthing for the loan complete in another week or so *fingers crossed* and I've been putting out two or three resumes every day or two. Once the house is going up and I have a job with fewer hours I'll have much more time. The biggest issue right now for time is that I work mostly at night and that was my Lit Net time. You are not all forgotten, though, and I can't wait to frequent here again soon.

Much Love,
Meg

P.S. I've another blog I want to post later, but I'm waiting to see what is reported in the news in the next couple of days before weighing in on the whole thing. If you've heard anything about the murder of a family in Mason, Ohio then you will have some idea of what is coming.

Personally I've been following the Vandalia marine murder but I am aware of the Mason tragedy as well.

You are definitely missed but not by any means forgotten. Sorry about P&G--on the other hand it's good to know which doors don't need the hard knocking on so you narrow the search. Hope the kids are well.

Defintely hope the house goes too.

All the best--I'll get back to the novel very soon--as I'm coming off a nine day stretch and will leave thoughts on the particular entry as I go. I notice I get derailed on my readings bigtime lately.

Don't be so down on yourself Meg. If we are not currently in an economic recession, we may be close to it. So companies are probably not hiring liberaly right now. But hopefully it will be a shallow recession. It's apparently housing market driven. Unemployment is still very low, so people are not getting laid off. Once the economy turns in few months (probably the second half of the year) they'll be a demand for new hires.

Meg, the right job will come along. Don’t worry about your friends here. Everyone here just wants you to be happy and understands that you have children who need you and stinky hours to contend with. I hope things work out for you soon. <<<<hugs>>>>

Meg, I haven't gotten to be on here much lately either but I always look for you when I do get on. Virgil is right, things will start looking better by summer, I think. Keep looking and you'll find something that you will really love. I have hear a little about the Mason murders but don't know much about them. Look forward to seeing you around. Rest today and things will look brighter.

Meg it's so lovely to see you! I'm still looking forward to reading more of your story, and I know exactly what you mean when you say that your story characters have taken on a life of their own. Love it! I do hope that things will go better with your job, though. Thinking of you, my friend!
