Kiz_Paws Bag Of Trix

Happy Ending

Rate this Entry
Well, the Police finally came to my sister's home and took our friend the Charmer with them. As it all turned out -- there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for some other misdemeanor.... So what a night indeed. At least he is gone now. My dad can go back to his quiet dinners with my mom (I actually think that he enjoyed the excitement, mind you, because he got to tell this fellow to 'behave himself' -- my dad is soooo cute!)

Pause for a cute picture
(no one I know, mind you, just cute!)

I had a moment of 'oh yeah, I remember that' the other day, and smiled at good times growing up at home.

My parents would go out and leave my older brother and I 'in charge' of the three other siblings (one of whom was the feisty sister). Well, a heck of a brooo-ha-ha started and got quite out of control. My elder brother was trying to study, so he told me to handle it. There was bickering a-plenty going on between the two littlest ones and miss Feisty. I tried to make things smoother, but miss Feisty started to swing at me. Things got louder and louder, when all of a sudden, the front doorbell rang.

My mom had stuck a butter knife between the door and the door jamb (hope you can picture this), for 'added security' while she was out. But anyhow, I pulled out the knife and open the door and hollered 'yes?!' in an exasperated tone (remember the hullabaloo previous to the door bell).

A young man toting a picnic basket had very round swirling eyes and they were swirling in my face -- I realized that I was actually wielding this silly butter knife as I answered the door. He muttered something about having sausages for sale, but he'd come back at a better time... He did scurry off, looking over his shoulder, too. I guess he had heard plenty of noise as he made his trek up to our front door...

Strange.

Anyhow, door closed, knife back in, fight back in progression.

**sigh**

I forget how that melee ever ended, too. Wonder if miss Feisty remembers?

Till next time,
Kizzo

p.s. I am only referring to this sister as 'miss Feisty' because that title really suits her well. I love her to bits, mind you, but life is NOT boring when she is around. She and I went to Oktoberfest Prairie Style one year. Yes ONE year, as I'd never go again with her.... but that is fodder for another tale in this crazy bag of trix known as a blog...

p.p.s. TTFN

I'm glad to hear that you're sister's situation is sorted, at least for the moment anyway. Sounds like it was fun growing up in your house Kiz, hope you don't still answer the door with a knife in your hand tho!

That was hilarious. But I'm with B---Charmer will be back. Tell your sister to have his stuff bundled up close to the door ready for fast pitching.

B -- I honestly didn't photo-shoppe any of the pic, that is how it came on the 'net'. It was so cute that I saved it. Also, to address the Charmer's possessions (for Rich & Pete), they are neatly tucked away in her garage in garbage bags. All two of them.... (a tumbleweed I tell yah!)

I love happy endings. I just hope she doesn’t let him back in. It seems like once you pick a “real winner” it’s easy to find all of them. I admire feistiness, it’s better than doormat, but it has it’s own set of problems. And I may brandish a knife nest time I get unwanted company and see if it has a similar effect!

Holy **** am I the only one who noticed Kizzo in rare creative form with this post?!?!!! This is so damn wild!! Kiz, you go from talking about that crazy wife beater dude being arrested to -- out of nowhere -- introducing some old depression-era photo of a little girl and her floppy dog!!!! Holy **** that's cool! And then there's a flashback involving a butter knife and you pulling it out and hollering yes! and all the while I'm reading and digging these crazy spontaneous dream flashes you're sharing and I'm saying to myself, yes yes yes!

I take exception to jon1jt's use of the phrase 'rare creative form'. Kizpaws is always coming up with a variety on her blogs with photos, family stories, warm advice and my favorites--cat pictures. But I know what you meant. Just wanted to be first to point out the flaw in the statement. Shallow, smug and wanting the brownie point. I'm BACK!!!

Awww, Rich, you are never shallow nor smug. You get a hug! **hugs** Now Jon, your comment made me laugh for at least five solid minutes. I am so glad you enjoyed the show! I guess it is my randomness that spills out in these pages of my blog. Thanks everyone for reading and commenting. Kizzo

Why yes I was bragging to the long suffering one that KizPaws bequeathed a hug. Now if only Logos could be so generous but she doles her favors out in a regretably frugal manner muttering something along the lines of don't encourage him he just gets swell-headed.
