I love mornings, dont you just love mornings?
Can I say its morning even if it isnt yet Dawn let alone sunrise? Oh well I am anyway...
Mornings make me think of bats.... (and the great thing asbout blogs is that I cant talk about me and what I think as much as I like without taking over threads., going OT or otherwise sounding self obsessed...)

Back when I was living in EGypt ( this would be when I was 11-12) I goty into the habit of going to bed at 8 in the evening and getting up at 4, mostly its true because of homework and the fact that by the time I got home form school it was 5-ish and my brain shuts downaround 6 in the evening.
Anyway so I was up at 4ish and Just when it was getting light Id take a break and go and stand on the balcony.... mostly to watch the world wake up, ( maybe tis is why I love the poem A view from Westminster Bridge so much ?*shrug*) Anyway there were always these birds flying around and the oddest noises, meanwhile we kept findingf'rats droppings on the other balcony) and we figureed we had bats ( I was partly to blame for this opinion as I saw what I thought was a rats tail) Anyway we tried everything, poison sandwhiches, traps sticky paper but we still jkept findiong these droppings.
A couple of months go by and my little sis is up really early she stares through the shutters of the window by jhetr bed which open onto the back 'rat infested' balcony and there is a family of bats a mother with 5 babies hanging off her, pale pink skinless things... but it turns out that bats were those birds I could see.
ANd you know what You can too hear bats.

I love mornings too Nightshade, the sunrises always seem better than the sunsets on the ocean for some reason.

Yes, I love mornings too. I would stay away from bats. They are very rabid animals and can trasfer rabbies just by its breath.

I love the mornings too. My husband is building a bat house for me. They are really good for a garden and eat pest. I'm putting it at the very back of the yard so I hope to not contact

I didn't know people attracted bats. Like I said they are highly rabid, so be carefull.

I've always thought bats were fairly harmless, my boss had bats in his attic, so we did a bunch of research. He had to go out at dusk to see where they come out of his attic then try to board it up while they were out. (He counted 30+ flying out of his attic) He even built a bat house to attract them and give them a home else where.

I have to agree sunrise is better.

Bats are a cool phenomena... I am a little scared of them, mind you, got chased by one/two?? once when I was outside smoking late at night. Serves me right, though ...
