Auni flinched at the whiteness. How she hated it. Where was she? What had happened? Why was she here? Her mind started to race like a wild horse. She panicked and threw off the covers. She stood up and her knees almost buckled she leaned on the bed to think. Her head began to settle and she was able to think strait. She remember the lady said something about this place being called O.T.B.-Whatever that meant.- She was kidnapped from school by those strange men. And concerning about why she was there, that would remain a mystery. The lady walked in suddenly. What was her name? Miss Aadile?
“Auni,” said Miss Aadile, “The director wants to se you now.”
Auni took a gulp, why must he want to see her? Miss Aadile held open the door and cautioned for her to pass. In the hallway it was much darker. A prison gray. There where doors with metal bars in a small window. All Auni needed, she thought, was handcuffs and she would be walking down death row. The blonde lady walked like a stick. Not making any falter. At each doors there were guards, which added to Auni’s nerviness. The walked for about five minutes. The longest minutes in her life. Finally the entered into a large room. The walls were midnight red. In the center of the room was a small tower. No, not a tower, a throne. Auni would have dropped her mouth open under any other circumstances. The throne then started to turn and get shorter and shorter till finally it was ground level. Now it was just a chair, and that too turned around to reveal a man. He was tall and lean when he stood. His out fit was black and made out of leathers. He also wore a black cape that covered the edge of his soldiers. His skin tone was light, but he was obviously a dark man in heart. He stepped toward and took Miss Aadile’s hand, kissing it lightly in greeting. Then he turned toward Auni who wanted to run down the hall and leave forever. But the huge doors had just been shut; there was no leaving. He took her and lightly and his cold lips gently brushed it, sending chills up her back.
“Welcome, Auni,” said he, his voice as cold as death. “ I am the director of O.T., and you have no idea how lucky you are being able to visit the head building.”
Yeah, as lucky as a starving mouse. Auni couldn’t help think but it was quickly wiped away by fear. His nose was pierced with a hoop and so to his lip. Part of his left ear was missing and his eyes were a silver blue, just like Miss Aadile.
“Don’t look so disappointed to be here,” he said, “ You will learn to love it just as I have. Oh, yes, it can get to be a bit gloomy. But it is much better up here then down in the dungeon.”
How can I ever love such a cold place? Thought Auni to herself, but she had a funny feeling that the director somehow heard that thought.
“Auni, we are going to be running some tests on you. You better be willing with your powers.”
“What powers?” Auni said unhappily looking up at him.
“You know what powers.”
He took her right hand and turned it over to reveal her symbols. Frowning, Auni slowly pulled her hand out of his cold grasp. She never wanted to be reminded of that unwanted power. The power she couldn’t even control. The power she didn’t understand.

Eligantia and Madoline where at the school steps when Kioshi came riding up. He didn’t get off that time and Eligantia was the one to help Madoline up. They vanished from the school in seconds. Madoline was crying and Eligantia was sad. But for Madoline’s sake she didn’t cry. Kioshi showed no emotion, none at all.
Driving for several hours, Eligantia began to become worried. Where was he taking them? It wasn’t her life she had to worry about, it was also Madoline. Kioshi had said that they were rescuing Auni, but so far she still hadn’t anything about a plan. He hadn’t even mentioned it since they left her house. And his way of showing no emotion was starting to concern her. Several times the thought of wondering if he was human ran through her mind. His fiscal ability surpassed any person she had ever heard of. How was he able to do that? And why was he so concerned about Auni? He had never been to their school and he obviously wasn’t part of Auni’s family. His light blonde hair proved it.
Out in the distance Kioshi saw something coming closer and closer through his mirrors. He squinted then braced his foot on the gas pedal. O.T. men! He swerved to left then to the right.
“Hold on!” he shouted at Eligantia and Madoline as he pushed his sunglasses over his eyes. He bent farther into to seat, cutting the air. The images came closer and closer, and Kioshi knew that he wasn't going to loose them by speed, thought he can try.
He pressed the throttle down as far as it could go, and the images started to fade but became distinct again. This is what I've trained for. He thought with a half smile. He swerved to the left when one of the men shot off a gun and a giant tree fell down right beside them. Eligantia looked past as the men easily raised there vehicles raised over the tree. The speed dial was raising and raising. Though it was in another writing, Eligantia knew that they were going somewhere in a hundred. Suddenly another tree fell, Kioshi turned the vehicle out of the way but the tree landed right above them and he slowly looked up to see it fall over him. But a large stone caught it before landed on them. He made a sharp, ground ripping 360○ turn and headed out again. He smiled slightly at himself and headed off toward the horizon.

It seemed that the chase was going well for the trio. The men were still visible, but the fallen tree had caused some more space between them. They just might make it as long as they didn’t run into anymore problems. But fait had a different plan for them. A couple hundred yards ahead of them where they could not see, stood a steep canyon that had a landing about a half mile down. And the other side of the canyon was about a quarter mile across. Kioshi was the first to see the canyon, but it was when they were about twenty-five yards... He distended it and didn’t want to try it. At the edge of the canyon he made a 160○ and the back wheels went over the edge a little, scattering rocks over the edge. Eligantia looked over and took a deep breath. Melody had her eyes closed, she wished that she wasn't there at the moment. Kioshi finished the turn but realized that more men where coming from all directions. Reversing quickly until he was about twenty yards away, he pressed down on the gas petal. The vehicle zoomed over the edge of the canyon. They heard huge, loud gun shouts behind them. Then suddenly the back of the vehicle ignited into flames. It flipped several times and Eligantia was holding on for dear life as they plummeted down. Someone was screaming and when Eligantia looked back Madoline had fallen off. Then Kioshi turned around and quickly wrapped on arm around Eligantia as he pushed off the vehicle. He headed his head down ward and grabbed the screaming Madoline is his other arm. Eligantia reached out and took her hand then Kioshi let go of Madoline again and pulled out something from the side of his belt. He jerked it and a humongous sword came out. Aiming himself toward the edge of the cliff he drove the sword inside the wall. The sudden stop had him spinning around the handle, but that was what he wanted. At just the right angle he let go of Eligantia, sending her flying high up in the sky. Kioshi smiled then pulled out his sword from the wall, letting him fall gracefully to the ground. He landed on his feet and looked up to see Eligantia silently falling and Madoline passed out as she fell. With a courageous leap in the air he caught Madoline in his arms. He let himself fall again. When he landed he gently laid the unconscious Madoline done on the ground. Then he placed his arms out in front of him and Eligantia landed perfectly in them with a loud Ooff! . Slightly dazed, Eligantia was still able to stand when he placed her feet.
“We can’t stay here.” Kioshi said plainly and lifted Madoline in his arms. Eligantia silently followed him. There was no turning back. There lives where in Kioshi’s hands.
