I'm getting my house:)

Rate this Entry
I'm fairly dancing with joy. Today was my other day off this week, so I spent the day with my kids, and filling out the paperwork to be pre-qualified for my home loan. Before I can build, I must be pre-qualified, which generally means we'll be approved for the home loan barring anything like not paying my bills for the next six months;)

Anyway, I got the paperwork in at 5 this afternoon, and I didn't think I would be hearing back from anyone too quickly. They got back to me this evening, and everything looks great. We've been given the go ahead to start doing all the other papers for a loan and for the house. I'm due to go in on Saturday to start papers with the builder and get everything moving with that.

I can't wait to start picking colors and designing the home that I really want and love. It is going to be so nice to have something that is brand new, rather than settling on something that we didn't really cherry pick ourselves. This way the house will be all that we've chosen, and I'll not be changing much.

That's about all from here for the moment. I'll keep updating when I can, but between work and the kids there isn't too much free time. When I'm able to get to a job with shorter hours and more regular hours things will be better. Hope all is well.

Everyone have a Merry Christmas, just in case I don't update again before that.

Take Care,
Meg

That is great Meg. So happy for you. I think you said you had family that could guide you through the pitfalls. I hope that includes the loan process. My one little bit of advice, get a good attorney and get him involved from the beginning. Good luck. Designing a house sounds like so much fun.

Just now read this news and it sounds wonderful--who knew realtors/loan companies could be so efficient??
