Proof that I wear my official DEVO shirt far too often: there's a hole in it and I've had it since June or July. A very small hole, though.
New favorite DEVO song=Mecha-Mania Boy. "Everybody That's the New Way to Roll."
Today I went on a bike ride with my uncle and now I'm sore. The bike chain on my vintage Schwinn Breeze broke, so we had to rent one.I like my bike...it's all beat up looking. Oh well. And then I lost my wallet because the people who make girl's jeans think we all carry purses (I do not see myself carrying one unless I'm wearing a skirt.) so the pockets are small. So it fell out my back pocket where I always keep it. I was terribly upset, but a nice man returned it to me at my house. I'm so glad an honest person picked it up.
My mom told me about this series on Vietnam that she taped, and she dug out the tapes from our archives and I intend on watching them soon. My life has been pointing to Vietnam for a while now. I mean, with the connections DEVO has with it, and then my teacher that I admire so much who is a veteran of it. I've seen Vietnam footage on YouTube, but I want to know the details more. I know the basics of it, though. I rented Apocalypse Now a few weeks ago and I really loved it. But that's fiction.
Yesterday I bought more stuff with my Christmas money. Bottle Rocket, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, a Handel CD, and a Baroque CD. (It has Pachelbel's Canon in D on it.) I liked how Bottle Rocket was $9 and the Handel CD was $6 and the Baroque one was $2. It pays sometimes to like things no one else does. When you finally find the stuff you want. Oh, I almost forgot, I got a blue blouse, too, but my mind never focuses really on that kind of "girly" stuff, so I almost forgot.
There are far more interesting things to worry about.
And lastly, I haven't talked to my best friend in over a week and haven't seen her in over a month. Other than a bunch of other stuff she goes through, her cat keeps chewing on the phone lines. I really do miss her.I've been lonely. It's hard for me to really click with someone. That's why I like LitNet so much. You guys are a big part of my social life. Thank you.
