Japanese Guest and Aquarium trip

*sigh* I don't know what to do with myself. Our Japanese friend came today. She's very sweet and all, but I just don't feel very comfortable when we have an overnight guest(s). I mean, she sleeping in my room, and I feel like a culprit when I have to sneak in and take something. It's also kind of awkward when your ma insists on telling REALLY humiliating stories.

I HATE aquariums!!!

My family went to one, yesterday, and I was thoroughly freaked out. Especially, the huge sharks, and the belief I've had since I was around 5, that the glass would break, and they would come and eat me. Yes, I know it'll never happen, but just the same I'm not taking any chances. I don't know why the ocean scares me so much! When I was younger, I used to have these horrible nightmares. I'd be in a public pool, swimming in the deep end, and sharks would come and eat me. That's one of the reasons why I've never learned how to swim.

    HEY Bulletproof, I was 9 when I watched Jaws, and I was afraid of FRESHWATER for years, but then again I grew up in Wisconsin where the muskies get over 6 feet long. Anyways, I know how you feel. I've had many friends from Japan over the years, and she probably feels like she is imposing on you, so just laugh with her sometime, and you never know...ask her more about her country or what not. (Women just love it when you want to know more about where they are from, and international perspective is always cool).

    can't wait to meet her BP! i've been deing to go to church and see my friends. sorry i didn't get to go to the aquarium with you, i missed the chance of scaring you to death! LOl. no i'm just teasing, you'll get over it (hopefully)

    Oh, wow. :0 Sorry about that! But it's so nice to look at the fishies! Just don't go near the big tanks, then? That's cool, though...about the guest...is she from Japan? I mean, you say "Japanese", but yeah...XD

    Me thinks I'd rather watch them on TV. Much rather. Oh, no danger of that. I refused to go within ten feet of the tank that was holding the big fishies. Yup, she's from Japan . . .
