On The Last Day

Rate this Entry
I had an experience I absolutely cannot ever forget. There is no time, no duality, the only knowledge needed cannot be expressed, and it serves only to give one peace and happiness. As for the peace and happiness of others, that cannot be forced, and so knowing peace one must always fully let go of the actions of others. Everything in life is only a dream; and as soon as the dream is woken up from, then one is immersed in infinite consciousnesses. One must go back into the dream, into life, but there is no longer any suffering. Our essential nature or being is timeless, is unborn. When we are outside of the dream we find peace because we know there was never anything to attach to in the dream. There is nothing that feels upset over anything, and there is nothing to be enligthened, or to be at peace.
Above all one must trust oneself over others. One must have a firm no in place to everything external, and also say no to oneself. In this way everything is seen as being void of nature, and also having an essential nature which can teach wisdom.

Oh, I wrote a poem, too. What do you think?

Let the sunlight shine on me.
How it reminds me of my true nature-
Cosmic, angelic, unborn, a being out of time.
The great crystal diamond vehicle in my eyes,
I ride a Blue dragon, in a flight of several,
While unborn presences merge with my mind,
Whispering, chanting, "Eternal."

It was the beginning of the last day,
And the sun was in a special way.
Flowers rose and starlight fell,
And unseen presences filled the air.
The murmur of the great dragon filled the sky,
And the earth was the groundstuff of his mind,
And the wind whispered the chanted word, "Eternal."

Life holds close her sister Breath,
And sister Breath holds Life for warmth.
Life, the whore we drag through muddy streets,
And Breath the jackal abused that hides at night.

One must have a firm no in place to everything external
Sorry to say that I disagree with this, as EXTERNAL can be good/enlightening/a lesson, etc. Or perhaps I am misunderstanding your meaning (?), which leads me to the next query:
    being void of nature
For myself, this could possibly be the most tragic thing of all, unless (again) the statement means something other than my perception. Your poem was full of imagery, I enjoyed it -- my favored verse would have to be the second one. Keep on writing, Nik, and take care!

You missed the whole quote, then. "Above all one must trust oneself over others. One must have a firm no in place to everything external, and also say no to oneself. In this way everything is seen as being void of nature, and also having an essential nature which can teach wisdom." EVERYTHING has a nature which can be seen as generating self-illuminating wisdom. Every person, because of the vast, vast positive potential, even if they are trapped in negative conditioning, and every experience because the good and bad, pleasureable and unpleasant, hot or cold, coarse or fine, all of these don't affect who we really are, an unchanging soul. They just affect the material body, and when we wake up from the material dream, then we really realize some of the things in the heart sutra: there was nothing to be attached to, and there was nothing to be enlightened and no enlightenment. There is nothing further to know if we know ourselves. When I say things are "void of nature" I mean that their nature is void. Their true nature is void. We eternally exist; we're non-manifest at the beginning, manifest in the middle, and non-manifest at the end. I was lucky enough to perceive for a night the world- internal and external- from the point of view of my unborn self. It brought me great peace. I can't say why I had such peace--- I think a very true answer is because I made myself be at peace, and I realized that I had much, much, more than enough knowledge, I only needed to integrate it all or coordinate it, as well as clearing away all the false perceptions, and then I'd have a true view of reality. I was outside of the dream, though I had to go back in...I'm really looking forward to the next time. Anyway thanks for enjoying my imagery. :) Thx for reading it!!!!!
