Well, (Hey did anyone else ever notice how many times I started my blogs with 'Well'?), here I am offhore again. The weather is chilly willy for the Gulf of Mexico. All the harsh weather up north has brought high winds and rough seas to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. I've fended off my mania for the time being. Feeling really good, but I don't know how it will go when I get back on land with all of the construction near my apartment.

A friend of mine was buried the other day. He was 36 years old, and sick with some form of cancer since he was 24. They tried everything, but all it did was extend the inevitable. Really a damn shame too. Its almost a relief though that he has passed. He was not comfortable for the last several years. So I'll raise a toast to Bunz when I get back on land.

My mother was down in town for a week at the begining of the month, and she was excited to have driven down from Wisconsin for the first time since her retirement. Had a lot of good food, and even got to see the Santa's Parade with my niece. It was the first one she will remember (I hope) Anyways. Everything is going great, and my writing is going well, but I need to resolve some of the bear portion of the story before I move back to Lit-Net 9...I hope everyone that celebrates the holidays of any kind enjoys them... Christmas, Hajj (I know it is a pilgrimmage and not a holiday, but is it not also to be celebrated or rejoiced?), Kwansaa, Hanukkah...anything I'm missing.

Later, B

B, I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. But you do have the right attitude, that at least he has found comfort at last. *Hugs* .... I love the Santa parades -- did they throw any free candy? ha! Well (to quote you, hee hee), happy writing with the bear story. Take care, Kizzo

Oh sorry to hear about your friend B-M. That is terrible. Life is so short for some. It saddens me. I'm glad you got to see your mom, though.

My mother's closest friend had a cancer that lasted literally years and years. Got to be a macabre sort of joke when I would occasionally ask how Joan was doing. Friends are rare and their memory and impact on out lives are not to be thought light of. Salute!
