In Those Jeans

I stood behind my desk chair with my hands resting on it; I was contemplating changing out of my baggy jeans into a tighter, more feminine pair. It really wasn't all that important a decision, but it was taking me a while to decide. I had a belt to take off, and then I would have to squeeze myself into the girlish figure of the tight pants. The whole reason I was even considering it was because I was going first to an English Honor Society meeting where I would be hopefully convincing interested students to join, and then from there to rehearsal for a play in which I play an attractive American tourist. The meeting required a certain impression, and I didn't think I could play single & sexy very well in baggy pants and an undershirt.
The decision was not coming any quicker. I had officially reached that point in my life where I really had to consider whether I truly believed that appearance means nothing and a person should be judged by their actions and character, not by their clothes. Well, I had to admit that while I still believed in that second part, that first part has been too vehemently denied for me to ignore. As I dropped off the baggies and smushed my thighs into the slims, I let myself be slightly annoyed that this second pair of pants would allow me an easier time in winning over new members and convincing the director that I could do this part well. I allowed myself to snort at the fact that I worked my job, went to all my classes, and made plenty of presentations in baggy pants and undershirts, and I was a very successful person. I didn't need feminine clothes to tutor students, get A's, and inform fellow students about current events and services.
I eventually kicked the annoyance and instead focused on my sales pitch to the students whose curiosity had been piqued by our English Honor Society flyers and presentations. Then I focused on my lines and sounding more like a real tourist than a high-pitched fake tourist. Now I'm in my dorm, still in the tight jeans...but they are unbuttoned![]()
