I was just thinking today that when I started blogging, I used to blog twice a week. Now it's once every two weeks, if that!
Do you remember my October PSAT test that I was so nervous about? Well, I got the results yesterday. My average was an A, but only by virtue of my critical reading and writing skills. In critical reading, I scored higher than 97% of juniors. In writing, I scored higher than 95% of juniors.
In mathematics I scored higher than 32% of juniors. Ouch. But there is still a chance for me to be a National Merit Scholar. My score alltogether was 87. My dad is so proud of me, he told me yesterday that he was going to brag to all his coworkers. My mom has been grabbing me and kissing me all day, though she wishes I did better in math. I'm in the same boat as you, Countess. On a side note, Mom asked me if I was proud of myself. I hadn't really thought about it. This is the most minor of all the tests I'll be taking, and there'll be at least five more tests before I'm done. Probably far more. I think I'm developing a "I'll do whatever you put in front of me" mentality. I don't know.
In other news, we have a visitor coming from Japan. She came once as an exchange student when I was seven and now she's visiting for the third or fourth time. She speaks English really well (It's her major) and this is her first time being in the states for Christmas, so my parents want to show her a good time. My Mom's already planned a Christmas cookie exchange and field trips, Christmas themed and otherwise, for when she comes.
My Mom (always the teacher) used the event of her first visit to teach me my multiplication table. I was seven years old, Bulletproof was three, and she was twenty-one.
That multiplication fact stuck irreversibly in my mind!.
Well, with the advent of Christmas I probably won't be blogging very much. I love preparing for Christmas. The day itself is rather boring, but I love all the hubbub beforehand. I love getting all the presents for everyone and dekking out the tree and listening to the music and all traditional Christmas-y stuff. My Mom and I make a traditional Lebanese dinner, and my tradition (passed down from my Mom) is to make a Yule log. I told Meg I'll post a picture when I'm through. I love to bake as well.
That's all for now, folks!
Actually, not quite...
Somebody's really good. This is the first properly drawn Boromir picture I've seen on Deviantart. Which, btw, Ryu, is a really cool site.
