    Haha that makes me smile. But it wont' be anything nearly as grand or elaborate. I'm going to make the house out of simple wood, perhaps some brick or stone; I want a fireplace for sure. I am envisioning putting posts into the ground at corners or along the wall, and then make the house about a foot above the ground, preferably where it raises, so I'd have a step. I'll perhaps make a thick wall, using some kind of home-made insulation, like boxes with newspaper. Everything covered so it's looks natural, either wooden or with skins over it, perhaps. I wouldn't mind having marble or something in the house. Like I said I want it kind of small and simple, smaller than we usually think, especially since it's easier to heat that way. Then I want a long wall around the area with other buildings in it. I'd like to have lodges throughout. Anyway. :)

    I worked on a house that had hay for insulation in Montana, Nik. I did want to mention that I started to do some wood carving and rock sculpting for my dream home, but I don't know when the heck I would find the time to build the majority of it myself. Only did a little construction work, and was mainly a drywall texture hand...pretty good at it, or so they said. I have a dremel tool, and love it. I recommend it for the familiarity with woods. Oh, tongue and groove the entire thing, from my point of view.
