Haven’t blogged for a while. First I was too busy but now I’m too lazy. Well, let’s see. I got my **** essay back, the one I was up until 7 doing, I got 58 for it, apparently that’s good but now I know they’re definitely letting us off easy because it was pure crap. I have a load of creative writing work to do but I haven’t done it. It’s due in Monday but I get back so late on Mondays I don’t want to risk it and besides, it’s not like I ever do any work over the weekends anyway, even my story a day started flagging, that’s why I’m so behind with it, but I’m making a note of every day so I can knuckle down and catch up any time.
I haven’t really had any lessons this week and as a result I’ve been even lazier, not getting up until 2pm +. But today. Oh what a nightmare. My English literature seminar was at 2pm but that was okay. The problem was not only did I forget to set my alarm back to the bell setting to wake me up properly but I woke up at 12ish, when it was set to go off and turned it off thinking I’d only be half an hour as usual, still ample time to get ready for the seminar, even if I had only read act 1 of waiting for Godot at 5am. So, because of that I overslept ad woke up at 2, panicked, said oh **** a few times, rushed around, hands shaking like when there’s a fire alarm (Now I know why I do that, I reckon it’s the adrenaline) my hands were shaking so much I was worried about stabbing myself in the eye trying to put on my mascara. I used to be completely opposed to mascara but now I happily wear it, though I think I look stupid with rich lack mascara, I don’t think it goes with the paleness of my face, I feel like a child playing dress up, so I wear a paler black/brown colour which I feel suits me better. Anyway, I skipped breakfast, or lunch as I guess it would have been, though when in doubt I class it as brunch. I encountered my neighbour Will who was in shower attire and asked, is it really gone 2? I think I puzzled him a bit but he confirmed what I already knew. I briefly explained I’d overslept and I was late, rushed into my room, gathered my things and rushed out. I was 20 minutes late, not far off my usual time. Even though I live on campus I still can’t seem to get the balance of ‘another 5 minutes’ and ‘move your arse’, timekeeping’s never been my forte, which explains the clashes with Richards. I haven’t thought much about school since being here, because this is a new chapter in my life I guess, hey, my life’s a book nowfancy that.
Oh, about, I think it’s 2 weeks ago now we had a new girl move in, did I tell you? Her name’s Jo and she’s in my literature class. On the Saturday, as I was doing my washing up and all someone said we had a new girl moving in called Jo. I was intrigued. Just as I was leaving with my case I saw a girl called Jo from my literature class and thought she’s moving in, cool. We said hi and all. Her room’s right at the end, opposite Liam’s so she’s at my end of the corridor and she secured the cupboard next to mine, as it was empty. She was in residence in another place off of this campus, a place owned by the uni that’s just used as extra residence really, but we had life writing there, I say had because we don’t have the lesson now, just the work. But she had to move because of her asthma. The great thing was I was already on speaking terms with her before, because of the time Michael (The guy who’s email address I have, because of some team building thing we had at the start of the term) and I were planning on going to see The Member at the Wedding which we didn’t do in the end because he was skint, but before that we asked Jo if she’d e interested.
There was a ton of other stuff but I’ve completely lost track now, sorry, when I remember it I’ll tell you.
Oh yeah, we have maggots in the kitchen because some people’ve been leaving their washing up on the side since the start and I’ve realised that it’s been over a year since I first started my blog, you have all seen a year of my life, the ups, downs and miscellaneous weirdnessso I what I guess I wanted to say, though I wanted to say it better, thanks. It’s been great knowing you’re all there to offer advice and just generally take an interest in the things I do. So, here’s to another year I guess
.
Thanks guys.
