Isn't this the most novel thing -- painting one's hands with animal visions ....

It is particularly effective when the skin of the hand matches the animal depicted, for example, this elephant:



I think that the saddest thing would be when those beautiful hands have to shed their wonderful art for the necessity of eating, bathing, etc., but you have to appreciate the intricate detail gone into these, eh?

A couple more, then I'll mosey on to my Dickens novel (Hard Times) -- OMG such a tale, n'est pas?

... ...

Aren't the eyes perfectly done? Wow!

I also wonder how long it would take to make one's hands look that dashing!

[please note that none of these beautiful hands is mine ... my brother sent me a bunch of these in an attachment to an Email and Lord knows where he found them ... but anyhow, hope you enjoyed 'em!]

    Those are too neat. I can only imagine the time going into making all of them. I think the elephant is my favorite:)

    there is something sensual about painted skin, and hands, as in the case with the first photo. even tattoos have a certain sensuality that can reveal something deeper about the person if done right.

    but the snake on hands...yuck! i love the ears on the cat! the owl looks a bit unfriendly, cute though it is.

    here's my question for kizzo: if you ever had your hands painted with animal art, which animal would you pick? (i'm going to take a guess...piglets! )

    Thank you Jon, for your thoughtful comment. Well, to be honest, as much as I love dem piggies, I'll go with the consensus of the elephant -- just something about the way that our skin naturally lends itself to be reminiscent of the elephant skin when painted (as seen above). Cheers!
