I'm the one on the right!

(Sorry, it's a bit blurry. )

Can you believe it?! This redwood tree was big enough for the car to fit through!

The beach was freezing, yet I insisted on going in. I was probaly dreaming about how it felt on the Titanic.

Isn't this picture hilarious? I was trying to get it for my avatar, but it wouldn't take it.

This is so frustrating! Something is wrong with my other camera chip, and the computer is being stupid.

Oh well, I'll try to fix it later.

Where are the pics from, all from North Central Coastal California? I love the Redwoods, and the Sequoias even more. Where I grew up in Wisconsin, there used to be trees with the girth of some of the redwoods. They were nowhere near as tall, maybe 180 feet shorter, but all of them were cut down in the late 1800's. The only forests I've ever known growing up in Wisconsin aren't native, but actually tertiary forests (That means they've been cut down 2 times or more).

Thumbs up, m'dear, good job. Specially on the last one! B-Mental, the beach was in Oregon and the redwoods were from the Avenue of the Giants in California/Oregon.

I used to have the killer cat as wallpaper on the computer with the note that this was the long suffering response's to her very very dear husband's quite reasonable request fro marriage benefits practice. She had the good grace to be amused.

I had posted a version of this comment and got to rethinking it so we'll revise it somewhat: The killer cat was used as wallpaper for awhile on my side of the computer as the long suffering wife's reasonable response to any request I make of her.

I especially like the pictures of the beach. Warm or cold, it is one of my favorite places to go:)

B-Mental: Yup, it was the Avenue of the Giants. Big trees are gorgeus, eh. Andave ya: Thankies! Mtpspur: . . . Know something. You and Andya are too much alike. Kiz paws: Thank you! These aren't my best, though. Mkhockenberry: I agree wholeheartedly! Beaches are amazing!

After thinking over your remark about me and Andave being alike I can (with some degree of alarm) only speculate that you are Jacob and we are Esau. Don't tell Andave she'll want the naming 'rights' to your next story. Good wriitng by the by.

. . . Actually, I always felt horrible for Esau, and hated Jacob with passion.

Yes Jacob is quite the character who certainly paid for his deceptions but in the long run he had the heart for God that Esau did not have. Simply put but tis so. Note that in helping her son gain the birthright Jacob's mother (Rebecca?) never saw him the rest of her days.

You're right, of course. It's just that the feeling of injustice has been bugging me since . . . forever.

At first glance it does seem that Esau got the short end but if you carefully study him out--he never sought for the Lord's blessing and sold the birthright for lunch. Jacob for all his many faults did seek the Lord. More important this is show that God's mercy can save and bless ANY type of person and should be an encouragement to trust in him. If He could love a doubledealer like Jacob there is even more hope for me (and you.) The injustice really isn't there. God saves sinners that come to him. Esau never really did.

Aw, it's such a small picture of you! Northern California is beautiful! Sometimes I wish I lived up there. It's so much more moody. Love it.

mtpspur: Lily: Yes, I know. I'll probaly get around to posting a better picture someday. I wish you lived here too.

Say, who's the one on the left?

Andya. It's hard to tell, isn't it? I think I deleted the rest of the photos from photobucket, and now they've turned into a red x. Didn't know that would happen.
