I just noticed the news story on my homepage regarding Anna Nicole Smith's death. Read story here.
Apparently she collapsed in a hotel and was unable to be revived. It also appears she has had some personal troubles as of late that I was not aware of:

Ms. Smith had weathered some difficult times of late, including a tempestuous struggle in the United States Supreme Court for access to her deceased husband’s fortune, the death in September of her 20-year-old son, Daniel Wayne Smith, a pending paternity suit over her infant daughter, and just this week, being named in a class-action lawsuit against TrimSpa, the diet-pill company for which she was a spokeswoman. The lawsuit alleges the marketing of the product, TrimSpa X32, was false or misleading.

I never considered myself to be a fan of hers at all, in fact I found her somewhat annoying, if I bothered to even think about her. However, I feel sad about this. She was just about my age, and that is much too young to die. Rest in peace...
