I'm proud of my son

There isn't too much of anything going on around here. I had to take my son in for his vaccinations before he goes to school next year. I was so proud that he did as well with them as he did. I've been dreading having to take him in, and I have to say that he made it remarkably simple on me as his mum. He just sat there and let me hug him while they gave him all FOUR shots. He got two in each arm, and he didn't let out so much as a whimper. I can't believe how tough of a little boy he is turning out to be, and it was really unexpected when he seems to delight in whining at me about tons of other things. I was expecting a huge scene at the shot clinic, and further whining and fussing all night. He didn't deliver on any of what I was afraid of, and I couldn't be more thrilled. He was remarkably nice this evening, and that was a nice change as well. I'm more used to stubborn defiance than the more amicable version of my son who graced my home this evening. Maybe things are finally turning a corner, and maybe the two of us can have a less advesarial relationship. Normally we are in a constant battle of wills, so my home is hardly peaceful. I hope everyone else had such an unexpectedly great day.
