Anything Else??

It has managed to be a horrid day today. I seem to be on a string of them, and it is just one thing after another going wrong in my life. Now instead of family issues, which aren't resolved, it is job issues. I thought that this job was pretty much a sure thing, and it sounded great. When I applied for the position I did the normal search for anything negative about the company. Nothing was found except for more job postings put on other sites by them. I found a second company that was similar to apply for, and I started to research them today. Lucky me (I know you can't hear the sarcasm in the typing, but trust me it is there) it's a scam. So, just to be safe, I do another search on the company I am meant to set up the second interview with, and it's a scam too:flare:

One of these days I'll learn to trust my own judgement instead of convincing myself it is nothing. I was suspicious of the way that the first interview went, but I thought it was mostly because they were doing it over the phone. I was a little more surprised that the second interview consists of following someone around for eight hours. Red flags were everywhere and there was a big one tacked to the phrase "direct marketing frombusiness to business". So, why did I ignore them???? I'm guessing I'm just not too bright and I was hoping that I could get a really nice job. I guess it is easy to make money when you are a mid-level manager in a pyramid scam:flare: :flare:. I know it is still likely legitimate to avoid the laws against it, but I've no desire to be involved in that type of thing.

It's back to square one for me. Now I'm rushing to try and find positions with companies so I can send out my resume. I'm hoping to start making calls towards the end of next week or the beginning of the following one to set up interviews for the first or second week in December. Things just continue to spiral out of my control, and I'm hating it. If you have any good idea on large companies that my have marketing staff, please let me know. I'm trying to come up with as many as possible, so maybe I'll have better luck with getting a position.

Thanks in Advance,

A very irritated Meg

Reynolds and Reynolds out of Dayton does just about anything in the marketing department. Mt e-bay partner Nikki who does all my bids went there from AAA -(better hours to raise her son by vs. babysitting hassles on second shift). They are highly reputable and about the only complaint I have heard of is they NO tolerance for smokers--AT ALL. They actually test for this. I don't smoke by choice but that bit of rigidity turns me sour. But they are an anchor business for Dayton.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that Meg. Oh those pyramid things should be made illegal. I don't understand why they are allowed. Wow, this must be very upsetting for you. Hang in there. Something will come up. Perhaps you should be grateful you found out in time.

Check out technology companies like IBM, Microsoft, Dell, etc but keep in mind when the economies drops, you may be out of a job. I think pyramid schemes are illegal, but that doesn't prevent companies from engaging in it.
    Good luck and God Bless.
